Investment Management

Our investment philosophy centers on building disciplined, transparent portfolios grounded in high-quality, low-cost, broadly diversified index ETFs. We believe that long-term wealth is best achieved through a core and satellite portfolio construction approach, where the core provides market-level exposure to major asset classes serving as the foundation for consistent, risk-adjusted returns. The satellite portion complements this foundation by seeking targeted opportunities to enhance return or reduce volatility through factor-based investments (e.g., quality, minimum volatility), or thoughtfully implemented income generation through dividend-oriented or options-based strategies. This disciplined, evidence-based framework combines broad diversification and tax efficiency with some selective active tilts to help clients achieve their goals through different market cycles.

Cashflow Analysis

As part of our comprehensive financial planning process, we conduct a detailed cash flow analysis to gain a clear understanding of your income, spending, and savings patterns. This includes reviewing all sources of income—such as wages, bonuses, and investment income—alongside both fixed expenses (like mortgage payments, insurance premiums, and utilities) and variable expenses (such as travel, dining, and discretionary spending). We also incorporate your current and projected tax obligations to determine a net available cash flow. By analyzing these inflows and outflows, we can identify opportunities to increase savings, improve tax efficiency, and ensure that your financial decisions align with your short- and long-term goals. This cash flow analysis serves as a foundation for building a personalized financial plan designed to balance lifestyle needs with prudent wealth accumulation.

The good news is that it is never too early to start and never too late to catch up. Income Tax Planning

Being aware of and thoughtful about your personal tax situation is important, and not just when you are filing your taxes in April or when RMDs and Social Security start in retirement. Your sources and timing of income, tax bracket, available deductions and credits, tax-loss harvesting, stock option treatment, as well as dividends, short-term and long-term capital gains on investments, tax-preferred and tax-deferred accounts and more, are important to consider as part of developing a tax strategy and monitoring your financial plan. We will help explain and walk you through this ever-changing area of law and rules and bring meaningful tax efficiency to your financial plan and investments.

Education and College Funding

Saving for college or graduate school, paying off student loans, and understanding the financial aid system are some of the most significant money issues we face today. Understanding how the FAFSA and CSS Profiles work and how each evaluate your net worth is crucial to properly saving for your child’s future without harming their ability to qualify for financial aid down the road. 529 accounts, Roth IRAs, federal and private student loans, work study, scholarships, merit aid, home equity, and income and asset limits all come into play. We will walk you through all the options to cost-effectively accomplish your education funding goals in the best way possible given your specific needs and situation.
